It's really flat here, too... kind of throws me off. According to Elder Wallace, this city is a lot more quiet and safer than some of the bigger cities like Bahia and Mar del Plata, which are a little crazy. Olavarria, where Elder Fuentes is from, is a ways away. I'm even four hours from the mission home in Bahia. We take a bus from Suarez to Bahia every 2 weeks now for a district meeting. So our whole day is spent on a bus every two weeks. In three weeks, I will travel there twice in once week, because this was Elder Wallace's last transfer, and he'll be leaving. He's pretty cool, by the way. I've had to rely on him a lot for the superficial Spanish small talk, but I can manage teaching lessons of the gospel with him in Spanish. I keep finding every day that I have so much to learn. It's hard, and I'm still getting used to all of this, especially the fact that I'm in ARGENTINA, but it's all good :)
We did find another apartment and our Pensionero is working on getting it for us. It's practically new!! We checked it out last Monday and it was really nice! It's only 6 months old, so we're really hoping for it. Also hoping that with time, missionaries will be more respectful because the apartment we live in now really is kind of messed up...
Monday is my P-day now and I have an hour for computer time, and I still have to write Pres Detlefsen. I'll make it happen, though. I'll try and figure out better ways to do email to give you the most detail possible. And yes, Grandpa will be in my prayers...
You met Elder Fuentes' sister on Facebook, cool! I really hope I get transfered to Olavarria at the time Elder Fuentes comes home... that would be so great.
I love the iPod shuffle, I listen to it every day.... The battery died last week and I figured out that I can't charge it in the house because the power in the wall and my converter just won't work for the iPod for some reason... so I just charge it at the church, no big deal.
Pictures, apparently if I open the file in Paint, that is the best way to send over email from here. Changes the file type and sends it faster, so I will send you a few right now...
Sheet music, I can't promise I will use it often... There is a piano at the church and I only have access to it before and after church and on P-Day... no time :)
Stuff that they don't have here.... pretty much everything, haha! Except they have some Coke products. Oh, one of our mission rules is no caffeine... btw... just fyi. Something I wish they had here.... Panda Express, Skittles, Snickers... Oh, and milk in plastic bottles. They only have milk in plastic bags, haha! Anyway, I'm going to try and send you some pics now.. Love you !!! Bye!!
P.S. Yes, that mission home address is the address where you send EVERYTHING, letters too.
