Haha, no... Nobody thinks my parents are mean for selling that motorcycle. In fact, only one person I told even remembered that it got sold. People are already too busy being astonished at the kind of families these missionaries have, to be able to let them go and not see them for two years. Trust me, there isn't a whole lot of room to not like the parents of the missionaries :) Besides, the story was quite funny, more funny than dramatic...
We had two baptisms this week!!!! This weekend, Jonathan y Ester were baptized, and were confirmed also. I have a few pictures of it to upload but I need to find a usb adapter for my sd cards. They were, like, the perfect investigators, followed through with all the commitments, and they wanted to get baptized. It was a trial in helping Ester, even when she had an answer from God. And we had one week to help her feel and be prepared before they got baptized. It was kind of stressful, but so worth it, and a lot of fun. So, to end the six week transfer cycle, we baptized :)
The transfers came again, but I'm still here with Elder Perkins, and I'm cool with that. In the transfer, they put two more Elders in our house, so we are going to be living six for a couple of weeks (sigh).... And guess what that means? Because the house isn't meant for six people, I have to go look for another house to rent!!!! hahaha.... Every area that I've been in, I've had to look for a new house. Starting to get pretty good with working with real estate people and landlords... I wonder what that's supposed to mean....
Elder Perkins and I have the goal to get baptizing every week, and to reach some other goals that we've set. And this time we're gonna do it...
Wilder had his first date...? I'm starting to feel a little old...haha.....
You asked about typical food....something we eat all the time is Spaghetti... I have never eaten more Spaghetti in my life--without meat even. I have learned how to make my own spaghetti sauce even...
I have a funny story for you... Last night after church, we went to Jonathan y Ester's house again, to have a lesson. We got to the part in the lesson where we were talking about the Joseph Smith story.. and we shared the scripture in James 1:5 that Joseph Smith had read, which talks about how you can ask of God and he'll answer your prayer. And we asked her what she thought the scripture was trying to say (I know, really obvious question, but part of the lesson). She sat there thinking for a second and then said, "Well, I don't know... I think it would mean that if you didn't know which church to go to that you should just go to the Mormon church because it's the true church!" hahaha...! Ok, I don't know if you'll find it as funny as we did, but Elder Perkins and I got a kick out of it!
Well Mom, I gotta go... Gotta write my last letter to Presidente Detlefsen... Nope, Presidente Parreño still hasn't arrived ye,t but in a couple of days, he'll be here...
Love you!!!! hasta luego
