Oh, and because I asked for taco seasoning doesn´t mean I don´t like the food down here :) It's like Shane and I both said, it's not Mexican. Elder Wallace and I actually made Mexican tacos the other night with a family and they were like "Wow, these are cool, how do you eat them again?" haha! Tacos weren't completely foreign to this Argentine family, but it was still different.
So excited that Anthony is going to the Ft. Lauderdale mission! Sweet! When does he leave?
Oh and when you told me about Shane´s teeth, I just knew, automatically, that Walker was laughing on the floor somewhere in the background... hahaha!
My Spanish immersion is going a lot better than I thought it would. Even though I have a companion who is from Chile, as a mission we still have the rule to speak Castillano (Español-Spanish) all the time. If we really need a word that isn´t in our Spanish vocabulary we can, you know, ask in English and figure it out. But because it´s a rule, and I have a Latin companion, and I´m trying to learn to speak Spanish better, I try to speak it all of the time. But you wanna know what is really weird now...? It's when we run into people that speak English, in some cases almost perfectly. It happened again this week! Elder Marambio and I ended up talking to two people that spoke English. One old guy that said his dad was from the states but he was born here (I didn't really get much more info about him), and another guy who moved back from Chicago. The guy from Chicago spoke perfectly and it honestly was kind of weird to have a conversation in English, even after just one week of the switch. But the immersion has been good. It has really gotten me to open my mouth more, and because of that, it was filled with what I needed to say. We were able to contact more people this week and teach more lessons than I had ever expected. It was pretty great. Not easy.... but it was a good week :)
There are also instances where Elder Marambio will say something and I have NO CLUE what he is saying, mainly when we are just having small talk. All I can do is kind of laugh and ask if he can repeat it, haha... I feel bad for him sometimes, but it´s still a lot of fun.
Chile and corn bread sounds really good right now... Good luck with your Halloween costumes :) I´m excited for the pics. I also need Grandma Koeven's address and Aunt Julie's, too.
Ok I gotta go... I love you mom. This Wednesday, I have been in the field for 2 months... and I´m going to stop counting :)
Love you Mom, hasta luego.
OH, and tell everyone that I really love them...
