I'm glad you get to see Elder Fuentes once in awhile, even at Chinese buffets. I really hope I get transferred to Olavarria near the time he gets home. Chances are, I think, that I will be here in Suarez for another three and a half months. And then after that, we'll see! A Chinese buffet or Panda Express sounds really good right now... I was also thinking the other day about times we went to Chuck-a-Rama with Grandma and Grandpa Burt... I don't know why, it was just a sweet memory at the moment :)
Yes, I think I have lost some weight. I haven't taken the time to go weigh myself at a pharmacy, nor have I wanted to translate the amount from kilos to pounds. I have better uses for my time on Pday. For example, making my own empanadas and taking a siesta! I love Pday :)
I didn't take my big coat because I thought that this mission was going to be more of a hot/cold/wet mission (and I was right), where a more waterproof jacket would be more useful. And I was already pushing it on the weight limit before I even left the States. Don't get me wrong, I love that coat. But if Walker wants to use it, that's cool.
What exactly is going on in Pioneer Park...? Protesters? The pictures of your costumes were hilarious though... Crystal Pepsi, haha!
I wanted to tell you about this really cool investigator we have. His name is Alejandro (Ale), this 26-year-old guy with three kids, two of which are infants, and his senora, Julieta. We met him in the first week just by knocking on his door. We were walking in one area and we thought, "Let´s go knock this one." No one answered the door, and then all of the sudden this guy with long hair appeared from the back yard. He kind of startled us at first, and then we explained who we were. He, very kindly and openly, let us in. We had a little lesson with him about the restoration, and said a prayer. I remember it being asked in the prayer to have his family blessed with the Spirit. And this really hit him... He started crying a little bit and pretty much told us we were welcome to come back at any time. He was really pleased with this visit and I'm positive he felt the spirit there. We've gone back a few different times for lessons and he is doing great. He's also reading the chapters of the Book of Mormon that we leave with him, which is really great compared to what I have seen so far haha.. And yesterday, he and his family came to church!!!!!!!!!! We were really praying for this, and our prayer was answered. I'm hoping in the coming weeks we'll be able to see him and his family be baptized.
BTW, I finally get to go to Bahía Blanca tomorrow and I'm really hoping those packages are there.. :)
I love you Mom. Things just keep getting better and better here :) Still a little far from home, but it´s all good :)
I love you!
Wyatt
P.S. How is Karson doing?
