Fun Fact: There is a LOT of American music down here, o sea, a lot of music in English that I used to listen to on the radio... interesting. Oh, and the food I have had the most here, so far, is Ravioli. LOTS of pasta down here. And I´m still trying to avoid mayonnaise... Shhhh...
[From Mom: How goes it on the time management front? I mean, if you only have one hour a week on the computer, how can you really be more efficient about it without simply increasing your reading and typing speeds? The computer you use is at the church, right? Do you have a printer attached to this computer? Can you print letters you receive via email, and respond to them by hand and snail mail later in the week? Obviously, I wouldn't want you to do that with ME, haha! But I'm a little concerned about continuing to give people your email address and telling them it's ok to send you emails because the postal system is so unreliable, if that's not the way it's supposed to work... please advise! Shane thinks we should get you one of those portable wand-type scanners, so that that you can write a letter by hand during the week when you have personal time, then instead of snail mailing it, scan it, save it as a pdf and just email it as an attachment when you get to the computer at church for your one hour. Complicated and far-fetched? Or innovative and time-saving from the sci-fi-watching, gadget-loving parent folks who bought Video Spy Sunglasses? :)]
Here's the thing about email: I am not allowed to email people other than my immediate family, but I can RECEIVE emails from anyone. So, a "magic wand" scanner probably won´t be very useful to me. Thanks, though :) And we don´t go to the church to send/receive emails. We use the computers at a Cyber (see-ber) for email. I CAN manage printing some things off, whether it be from the Cyber, or at church. Oh, and I got that "DearElder" from Aunt Susan! I have forgotten to tell you about that for a month. When I got to Bahía Blanca my very first day, they gave me the mail that was waiting for me there, and the only thing there was a DearElder from Aunt Susan haha! I need her address though, so I can write her a letter.
[From Mom: Shane's nephew Taylor stayed here this weekend...He and Wilder alternated between playing video games and watching Conference, and when hungry, fixed themselves food. What more could I ask for on Conference weekend? How did you guys listen to/watch conference? Was it a satellite feed at the church? I assume you didn't go all the way to the mission home for it...?]
We watched Conference in the branch house (I´m going to try and upload some pictures later), but we watched it from the computer over the internet. I was really spoiled to watch it on a 42-inch screen six months ago... in English. Haha, that´s another thing... The only part of Conference that I watched in English was the Priesthood session; everything else was in Spanish. I´ll admit, that was really hard. I still don´t get half of what people say sometimes, yet sometimes I understand perfectly! :)
One of the best things I have had to eat down here, in my opinion, because I really like them, are Empanadas. Google them... Soooooo GOOOOD.
Well Mom thank you for the update from home. I don´t have too much more to inform you about :p We are going to Bahía Blanca again on Wednesday for interviews with Presidente Detlefsen. But other than that, just working!
Questions: Are you sending me a package? Also, is anybody doing anything with my iPod? Because I may want to help my friend Matias out...
Love you Mom!
¡Hasta luego!
