Yeah, I totally saw Zach last week. I've seen his motorcycle more than I have seen him. Actually, I can't remember if it was last Monday or this Monday that I saw him... sad I know. It's crazy, time just blends here. This past week has gone by like a breeze... I was just at the temple last week doing a session and now I'm done with doing initiatories this week. Anyway, Zach actually had me paged from my classroom, like Chelane used to do when I went to North Star. I did not expect to see 'Mountain Dew Livewire' waiting for me at the Front Desk (thank you :) It seems like he runs the MTC. Well, ok, mainly the computers, but he still knows what goes down... pretty cool. He did tell me about him and Anya expecting a baby, awesome. The whirlwind of events at home are already beginning to take place. Speaking of which, Walker got to take the Mustang to Logan? Really?? He's spoiled.
I saw Jackson (Elder Hendry) on Wednesday! Will (Elder White) was his host, and my companion and I waited for him to get out of the main building to greet him. It was fantastic, we were all extremely happy to see each other. We didn't have time to talk much but I'll make sure to find him again to thank him for having the "avoid greek row" talk with Walker.
I'm still getting over the plague that has gripped my district. I think I'm at the end, though. Thanks again for the cold supplies. It's kind of hard to get over a virus when you don't get much sleep. Sometimes I wish they would let us implement siesta here, like in Argentina. I would love an extra 2 hours to sleep in the afternoon :) Who wouldn't?
In my wallet I found one of your $50 dollar Ken Garff Gift certificates. My bad... I'll send it home with some more pictures.
Speaking of pictures, one of the Elders in my district had a good idea. Apparently, his brother went to Uruguay on his mission and he took pictures with him of himself doing things that he did back at home, in order to show that missionaries actually are real people and like to do the same things as everyone else. I think it also contrasts how important it is for us to serve a mission and leave all of that behind. Will you send me some pictures of me like that? With friends, snowboarding, lacrosse, music... any other things that might be good? I don't need too many pictures, just a few to show Argentino friends.
Things are pretty much the same, just getting better every week. Oh and I have a bunch of time left for email today, so if you reply soon I can reply back again!!
Love you! Elder Koeven
